About Asten Does Nostalgia (ADN)

Hi, I’m Asten — a writer, nostalgia lover, and autistic advocate who firmly believes that the past is one of the cosiest places to visit.

Asten Does Nostalgia (ADN) is my little corner of the internet dedicated to celebrating the pop culture, memories, and weirdly specific moments that made growing up in the 90s and 00s so special.

From childhood TV shows and pop music to early internet memories, toys, adverts, and random cultural moments we all somehow remember — ADN is all about revisiting the things that shaped us.

But it’s also a bit more personal than just throwbacks.

A lot of what I write is connected to my own experiences growing up autistic, finding comfort in music, TV, and nostalgia, and realising that the things that once made me feel “different” were actually part of what made my story unique.

On ADN you’ll find things like:

📺 nostalgic TV and childhood memories
🎶 pop music throwbacks and playlists
💭 reflections on growing up in the early internet era
💅 humour and chaos (sometimes delivered by my alter-ego Daisy)
✨ and occasional deeper reflections about identity, nostalgia, and growing up

If you’ve ever suddenly remembered a random advert, fallen down a YouTube nostalgia rabbit hole, or had a 2000s pop song pop into your head out of nowhere — you’re definitely in the right place.

ADN is for anyone who believes nostalgia isn’t just about the past… it’s about the memories and feelings that helped shape who we are today.
