- Kids TV adverts that absolutely lied to us
(If it didn’t work like that, I was personally betrayed.) - Pop-ups from the family computer era
Turning the monitor off at the wall like I’d committed a crime. - Saturday morning CBBC
When nothing was urgent and everyone was shouting for no reason. - How cancelling plans is objectively the worst
Not because of the plan — because my brain had already moved in. - The fact Chromebooks have antivirus built in
Healing my inner child one update at a time. - Cereal going soggy while I’m distracted by TV
Still comforting. Still acceptable. - The fact life can be good and I can still feel fed up
Both things can be true. - That fed-up doesn’t mean ungrateful
It usually just means low battery. - Lighting
No thoughts. Just vibes. Lamps > ceiling lights.
Being fed up doesn’t always need fixing.
Sometimes it just needs nostalgia, low expectations,
and the knowledge that pop-ups can’t hurt me anymore.
