Asten Does Nostalgia

Where nostalgia meets chaos, and Daisy won’t shut up about it

When All Your Blog Views Come From You

I checked my blog stats today.

All the views were from me.

And yeah — it stung a bit.

There’s something quietly vulnerable about pouring yourself into words, pressing publish, and then realising you’re currently the only one sitting in the audience. Refreshing the page. Re-reading sentences. Fixing a comma that absolutely did not need fixing.

But here’s the thing I reminded myself of (gently, because this isn’t a telling-off kind of moment):

This blog was never meant to shout.
It was meant to feel like a room.

A place you stumble into late at night. A place that smells faintly of tea. A place where nostalgia is allowed to be soft, a bit silly, and deeply personal.

Blogs don’t behave like social media. They don’t clap instantly. They don’t tap you on the shoulder and say “well done!” They grow slowly, quietly, and sideways. Sometimes the only proof they’re alive is the fact you keep coming back to them yourself.

So yes — today, I was the only one reading.

But that doesn’t mean no one ever will.

It just means I’m writing for future readers. And future me. And maybe one person, months from now, who lands here on a random Tuesday and thinks:

“Oh. Someone else remembers this too.”

And honestly?

That feels like enough reason to keep going.
