A soft, memory-soaked ode to the warm chaos of early-2000s CBBC.
There was just something about CBBC in the early 2000s. Bright sets, dodgy CGI, presenters who genuinely looked like your older cousins, and the comforting chaos of it all.
After school, you’d flop on the sofa with a drink and a snack — the telly still warm from daytime BBC One — and suddenly you were in the world of Xchange, Smile, Stitch Up!, and a hundred others you half-remember but still feel deep in your bones.
Blue bears causing trouble. Emails being read out like it was the height of fame. That chunky “X” spinning like it was made of pure future.
There were no hashtags, no “engagement,” no curated feeds — just kids’ telly made with heart, noise, and custard pies. And honestly? That’s what made it magic. 💛
Them were the days.
