Step One: The Outfit
Sequinned halter tops from Tammy Girl. Denim skirts over leggings. Gel pens used as eyeliner (don’t ask). Boys rocking spiky gelled hair and enough Lynx Africa to fumigate the entire village.
Step Two: The Music
- S Club 7 – guaranteed stampede.
- 5ive – Keep On Movin’ – yes, we *did* know all the moves.
- Cha Cha Slide – obligatory group chaos.
- Westlife ballad – your chance to stand awkwardly near your crush and call it “slow dancing.”
Step Three: The Hazards
Balloon pops (instant jump scare), fizzy drinks spilled on your shoes, and the dreaded ‘will they dance with me or not’ suspense. Pure chaos. Pure adrenaline. Pure childhood.
The Aftermath
You’d go home with ringing ears, sticky fingers from penny sweets, and the sense that you’d just lived through the best night ever. Until the next one, at least.
