School Dinners, Lunchboxes & Tuck Shops

If you grew up in the 90s or 00s, you’ll know exactly what I mean when I say food was a whole vibe.

School dinners were a lottery — some days you got smiley faces and turkey twizzlers, other days it was mystery meat stew that nobody touched. Packed lunches were a chance to show off your coolest snacks: Lunchables, Fruit Winders, Panda Pops, or maybe a Dairylea Dunkers moment.

And of course, there was the ultimate after-school stop: the tuck shop (or the corner shop). A bag of pick ’n’ mix, a Freddo (when they were still 10p!), or a Mr. Freeze ice pop was enough to make your whole day.

It’s funny how these little food memories stick with us. They weren’t just snacks — they were part of our childhood story.

Your turn: what was your ultimate nostalgic snack? Tell me in the comments! 🍬🧃
