Five years ago, I got my Disney face masks — and according to Facebook, that apparently counts as a memory now. Which is wild, because in my head, face masks were just last week.
Back then, it was a whole thing. Shops were stacked with every pattern you could imagine, people were comparing their “mask collections,” and if you had a Disney one, you’d basically won the accessory game. Now? They’ve disappeared so fast they already feel like a time capsule from another era.
It’s strange how something that was everywhere can vanish almost overnight. My Disney masks probably got lost in the move, but the memory of them sums up that weird chapter we all lived through — equal parts surreal and nostalgic.

“Oh babes, remember when we all thought buying a sparkly mask made us a fashion icon? Honestly, it was giving ‘pandemic chic.’ And you with your Disney masks? Peak main character energy. Fast-forward five years and they’re basically museum artefacts. Boom Boom, history served.”
