A little love letter to Asten Does Nostalgia — and the pop culture wormhole that made it happen.
Somehow… we made it to 50 posts.
50 stories.
50 deep dives.
50 moments of “omg remember THAT?”
And more than a few full-on meltdowns, dodgy cartoon memories, and Daisy screaming in the background.
💾 This blog started as…
A way to reconnect with old joys.
To reclaim the weird, wonderful, sometimes traumatic pieces of childhood that stuck around longer than expected.
But it’s turned into something way more than that.
It’s become a home. A scrapbook. A chaotic archive of stimmy bops, pop hazard fears, and long-lost CD-ROM games.
🌟 Top 5 Favourite Moments (So Far)
- 1. The Basil Brush Album That Never Was
HMV. Me. Mum. A meltdown. Emotional damage: extreme.
(And then it turned out IT WAS REAL ALL ALONG?! Still not okay.) - 2. Meltdowns in Simlish
The save file vanished. The toddler got taken. The ladder was never placed.
“I just wanted my Sim to go to a restaurant.” 💀 - 3. The MSN Drama Files
You weren’t offline. You were “appearing offline.” Big difference.
And yes, “luv ya x” at the end of a nudge war meant something. - 4. That One Magazine Freebie That Became My Entire Personality
Still mourning the lipgloss ring, the Basil badge, and that glittery notepad. RIP. - 5. Daisy vs. The 2000s
Whether she’s reacting to advert trauma, sabotaging weddings, or screaming about pool ladders — she’s the unfiltered voice of my inner gremlin.
🏆 Daisy’s Corner: 50-Post Award Show

🏅 Best Use of Simlish: “Dag dag, babes.”
🏅 Biggest Emotional Plot Twist: Realising that the looner stuff didn’t define me.
🏅 Biggest Glow Up: This blog. This space. This autistic joy parade. Boom boom, baby.
📢 What’s Next?
More nostalgia. More honesty. More chaos.
More Daisy. More stimmy bops. More late-night memory spirals that somehow become full blog posts by 2am.
Thank you for reading. For relating. For laughing. For remembering.
Here’s to the next 50.
Boom boom! (…but with a comfort hoodie and a playlist.)
