Ah, the 90s and early 00s. A time of glitter, girl power, and deeply questionable fashion choices. If you were a girl growing up in that era, chances are you begged for at least half of these — and the rest you saw in Argos catalogues and sobbed over dramatically.

1. Spice Girls Dolls
They were stiff, slightly terrifying, and absolutely iconic. You didn’t play with them — you directed a whole movie starring them. Bonus points if they shared the Dreamhouse with Barbie and caused full-on diva drama.
2. Groovy Chick EVERYTHING
She was the moment. From bedding to pencil cases to inflatable chairs you’d dramatically flop into during a tantrum. Groovy Chick was our aesthetic. TikTok girlies could never.
3. Polly Pocket (The Tiny OG Ones)
Before they got weirdly big and bendy, Polly Pocket was tiny. Like lose-her-in-your-toast tiny. And yet somehow you managed to host an entire beach party in that one clamshell case.
4. Bratz Dolls
If Barbie was the girl next door, Bratz were the girls sneaking out the window. Sasha, Yasmin, Cloe and Jade owned 2000s fashion. You either had them… or had to sneakily play with your friend’s and pretend they were “just okay.”
5. Tamagotchis
Everyone’s first experience of responsibility and grief. One day it was pooping hearts and eating digital snacks, the next it was a skull and a single beep. Gone too soon.
6. Karaoke Machines & Tape Recorders
You knew you were going to be famous. You had a cassette with “My Very Own Album” scribbled on it, featuring hits like “Oops I Did It Again (Slightly Off Key)” and “Spice Girls Medley (Bathroom Echo Edition).”
7. Girl’s World Styling Head
She stared into your soul while you gave her electric blue eyeshadow and a fringe so tragic even Geri would’ve said “too much, babe.”
8. My Scene Dolls
Kind of like Bratz and Barbie had a secret lovechild. Way more lip gloss, denim miniskirts, and unnecessary drama. They were going clubbing. You were 9. It made sense.
9. Dream Phone
“He’s not at the beach…”
A massive pink phone that helped you guess which cartoon guy liked you. Was it Tony? Was it Brad? Was it… your cousin’s Ken doll in sunglasses?
10. Craft Kits – Fashion Wheel, Spirograph, Sticker Makers
You spent hours creating the same three patterns and then rage-quit when your sticker got jammed. 10/10 memories. 0/10 actual function.

- Dream Phone? I used it to prank call Barbie’s Malibu house and accuse her of stealing my man.
- My Scene? More like My DRAMA. Those dolls were in court by Wednesday.
Also. Spice Girls dolls? Geri once got into a punch-up with Action Man and we never found her left shoe again. R.I.P.
